Frank M. Sorrentino

Frank M. Sorrentino, 88, Kansas City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, April 15, 
2009, at North Kansas City Hospital. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 
10:30 a.m. Friday, April 17, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Hwy. 9, 
Kansas City, MO 64152; burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 
to 8 p.m. today at St. Therese Church, where the rosary will be said at 7 
p.m. Visitation will also be held 9:30 a.m. until Mass time Friday at the 
church. Frank was born Oct. 31, 1920, in Kansas City. He served as financial 
secretary for Asbestos Workers Local 27 for 25 years. He was a member of St. 
Therese Parish since 1957, and was active as an usher and with the St. 
Joseph's Table. Frank was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, 
and was a Past-Grand Knight for Fr. Robert A. Hager Council 7064. He will be 
remembered for calling Bingo games for the Knights of Columbus, Optimists 
Club, and UNICO for many years. He also worked at Harrah's Casino. Frank was 
preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Rosina (Giancerelli) Sorrentino; 
brothers, John Sorrentino and Albert Sorrentino; and sisters, Mary 
Cavaliere, Lucille Robertson, and infant Millie Sorrentino. He is survived 
by his wife of 59 years, Mary (Imperiale) Sorrentino; his children, Joseph 
Sorrentino, Roseanna Sorrentino, Anthony Sorrentino and wife Leslie, 
Annalise Hartig and husband J.R.; brother, Vince Sorrentino; sister-in-law, 
Virginia Imperiale; and many nieces and nephews. The family offers a special 
thank you to the residents of Riverstone Retirement Community for all of
