Vitto LaBruzzo

 79, Northeast Kansas City, Mo., passed away Friday, February 
 8, 2008, at his home. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 11 at Holy 
 Cross Catholic Church, 5106 St. John Ave., Kansas City, MO 64123; burial in Mt. 
 Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Passantino Bros. 
 Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the rosary 
 will be said at 4 p.m. Vito was born August 11, 1928 in Kansas City. He owned 
 LaBruzzo's Bar & Restaurant at 18th and Grand for 21 years along with many other 
 businesses including Kelly's Bakery and Excellent Foods. He was a founding 
 member of the American Sons of Columbus, and was a member of Pipefitters Local 
 27. He enjoyed golfing and gambling. Vito was preceded in death by his wife, 
 Carol "Rookie" LaBruzzo; his parents, Vito and Rose (Stasi) LaBruzzo; and 
 brother, Joe LaBruzzo. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemary 
 and Matthew Pisciotta, Carol L. LaBruzzo, Vicki A. LaBruzzo, Christy and Joe 
 Maenza; grandchildren, Vito A. and Joanna Pisciotta, Rosemary and Sophia Maenza; 
 sisters, Ange Ingolia, Louise Mary "Weezie" Spalitto; sisters-in-law and 
 brother-in-law, Toni LaBruzzo, Grace Calcara, Clarine and Gus Spallo; very 
 special friend and companion, Sally Kabrick; and many nieces, nephews, cousins 
 and friends. The family offers a special thank you to Northcare Cardiac Hospice 
 for the care shown to Vito. Pallbearers: Jimmy Salerno, Jim Zimmerman, Kenny 
 Cusick, Andy Colletti, Joe Spallo, Rob Dry. Honorary Pallbearers: Robert
